What to do if my pet is lost?
  • Immediately report to Animal Services both local and neighboring facilities.
  • Contact local Veterinary Offices
  • Follow lost pet media sites; Facebook, Craigslist, newspapers
  • Restrictions apply for posting lost pet signs TMC 9-2-505

  • Pet photo or flyer must be in JPG format, (subject to supervisor approval)
  • Include contact information
  • Date and location that pet was lost from.
Your pet will remain on this page for ten (10) days. If you want it to remain on the page longer you must resubmit your request.

Reclaiming Your Pet

What do I do if I see a picture of my pet on the website?
You must contact the shelter immediately. We donít hold your pet with phone or webpage verification. Once your pet has been positively identified as your pet, we will discuss the reclaim process with the owner.

What is required to reclaim my pet?
An adult must be present at the time of reclaim with proof of ownership. You need to bring in proof of a current rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if applicable.

Do I have to get my animal spayed or neutered upon reclaim?
You are not required to spay or neutered your pet upon reclaim, however the fees are substantially less if you choose to do so.

Found Animals

Animals listed on this page have been reported lost by their owners. They are not currently in the care of Animal Services.

The following is a partial list of found animals, along with the location the animals were found.

#6-41 Shepherd male approx. 1 year old. No chip or collar. Found on Lander/Linwood. Available for adoption on 6-22-18 if not reclaimed.

Please call the shelter if this is your pet. You must identify. The dog is being held at a private home.

#6-44 Tory is a Dachshund mix. She is approx. 2 years old. She is available for adoption on 6-28-18 if not reclaimed.

#6-51 Weeda, is a spayed female. She has a chip, attempting to contact her owner. She is available for adoption on 6-30-18 if she is not reclaimed. Found on Colorado.

#6-54 Min Pin, male approx 4 years old. No chip wearing a blk/grey collar. Found on Canal/Broadway. Available for adoption on 6-27-18 if not reclaimed.

#6-53 Terrier mix, female approx. 5 years old. No collar has a chip that is not registered. Found at Pitman High. Available for adoption on 6-30-18 if not reclaimed.
