STATUS OF TRANSIT SERVICERegular fixed route service
Effective Monday, June 1, 2020, the City of Turlock will resume standard transit operations similar to those in effect prior to the COVID-19 reductions implemented on April 1, 2020. Fixed route services will operate Monday-Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Dial-a-Ride service will be available to eligible passengers during those same service hours.
In an effort to minimize exposure to COVID-19 by bus drivers, fare collection has been suspended on fixed route and Dial-a-Ride buses until further notice. Passengers are encouraged to use the rear door (on large buses) for boarding and exiting. Passengers who require the accessible ramp or need additional assistance may still board at the front door.
Turlock Transit is providing free face masks and hand sanitizer to passengers to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. These single-use face masks and 2 oz. bottles of hand sanitizer are available on all buses and are limited to one per person, per day, to ensure there are enough for everyone.
The City will continue to work with public health officials and monitor developments related to COVID-19 and make additional adjustments if needed. Any new developments affecting Turlock Transit will be posted at http://www.turlocktransit.com as well as our social media pages. Questions or concerns can be directed to (209) 668-5600. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
